Circuit Design Engineer
Responsibilities will include:
As a member of the hardware development team, the candidate will design, develop, and test mixed-signal PCB-level circuits used in sensor systems. The circuits need to be low-noise, low-power, and low-cost. The target applications are mind-controlled toys, video games, wellness products, and research equipment. Primary responsibilities include circuit design, PCB layout, circuit test and characterization, safety compliance, troubleshooting and documentation.
Requirements:
BSEE or equivalent professional qualification
Three or more years of PCB-level design experience
Experience in analog and/or mixed-signal hardware design
Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communicational skills
As a member of the Research and Development team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the test and characterization of mixed-signal circuits used in various sensor projects. The candidate will evaluate circuits, provide feedback to design engineer on performance and engage in failure analysis for malfunctioning products. Depending on demonstrated skill and desire, PCB-level designs may be taken on as well.
Requirements:
BSEE or an equivalent professional qualification
Three years of scientific or engineering laboratory experience
Sound practical knowledge of test and measurement equipment for analog and digital electronics
Knowledge of typical electronic circuits
Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communicational skills
Desirable:
Analog design and test for noise sensitive application
As a member of the field application engineering team, the candidate is responsible for supporting NeuroSky customers in different geographical areas on technical issues related to NeuroSky's bio- sensor products.
Requirements:
BSEE, BSME or an equivalent professional qualification
Academic knowledge of mixed-signal application design
Academic knowledge of embedded design in C
Demonstrable resourcefulness and finesse in technical problem solving skill
Excellent inter-personal, teamwork and communicational skills
Desirable:
Working experience in video game development
Working experience in industrial or ergonomic design
Fluency in French, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin Chinese or Japanese verbal and written language
Academic background in neuroscience, or bio sensor technology
As a member of the hardware development team, the candidate will design, develop, and test mixed-signal SOC bio-sensors. The successful candidate will design VLSI circuit and HDL code, perform logic synthesis; develop test plans, create test automation scripts, test bench and test vectors; perform simulation, debug, and system bring-up.
Requirements:
BSEE or an equivalent professional qualification
Five or more years of ASIC design experience preferably in .18um or smaller nodes
Demonstrable past work on past hardware project definition and execution
VLSI circuit design and Verilog HDL design experience
Experience in system modeling using C
Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communicational skills
Desirable:
Analog design for extremely noise sensitive application
As a member of the Research and Development team, the successful candidate will develop and implement EEG algorithms aimed at mind-controlled equipment. The focus will be on taking known EEG research results outside of the lab. This requires developing systems that run in real-time in difficult real-world environments like the home, car, and office.
Requirements:
Masters or Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Computer Science or a related field
Experience with EEG experiments and methods
Strong understanding of typical EEG signal processing techniques
Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communicational skills
